What Poloniex is and who it suits
Poloniex has run since 2014 and was among the first exchanges with a massive altcoin selection. Today it is linked to Justin Sun (Tron) and targets active traders primarily.
For a first Bitcoin purchase we recommend regulated EU-licensed exchanges – Anycoin or Kraken. Poloniex holds no MiCA licence; verify availability for your country.
- Advanced traders with a historical altcoin selection
- NOT for a first BTC purchase or savings
